COVID-19 Vaccine 6 month through 4 years
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to permit the use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, to prevent COVID-19 in individuals 6 months of age and older.
SuperKids Pediatrics received a shipment and will start offering COVID-19 vaccine for kids ages 6 month through 4 years of age. Due to its storage, handling, and preparation logistics and to ensure safety guidance are follow; appointments for COVID-19 vaccines are arrange on specific dates and time. For this reason, we ask that you call our office to schedule your child appointment.
How many Doses?
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine is administered as a primary series of 3 doses (0.2 mL each). The initial 2 doses are administered 3 weeks apart followed by a third dose administered at least 8 weeks after the second dose in individuals 6 months through 4 years of age. We will help you book your 2 and 3 dose appointment during your immunization visit.

Individuals who will turn from 4 years to 5 years of age between any doses in the primary series may receive:
a 2-dose primary series with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine authorized for use in individuals 5 through 11 years of age.
OR
a 3-dose primary series initiated with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine authorized for use in individuals 6 months through 4 years of age. Each of Doses 2 and 3 may be with:
Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine authorized for use in individuals 6 months through 4 years of age.
or Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine authorized for use in individuals 5 years through 11 years of age.
