Lizaida Medina, M.D., FAAP
Dr. Lizaida Medina-Candelaria grew up admiring her pediatric caregiver. She found it amazing that someone had the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, best resources and commitment to help kids grow healthy. She believed that her Doctor was helping her become healthier with a better chance to live a happier life helping the community as a healthy woman later on. This belief grew in Dr. Medina through her academic, medical, and professional career to become the passion that drives SuperKids Pediatrics’ mission today.
Dr. Medina completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology with Magna Cum Laude recognition, after which she pursued her Medical career at The University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. Having a strong passion for the Pediatrics field, she then completed her Internship and Residency in the Department of Pediatrics in 2011. Dr. Medina has worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist and in several Pediatric Primary Care Offices in Florida. She is currently appointed to the Medical Staff of Jupiter Medical Center and Palms West Hospital. Dr. Medina is Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Palm Beach Pediatric Society.
Dr. Medina is fully bilingual (Spanish & English). She lives in Palm Beach County with her husband, college daughter, pre teen soccer player son and a Super-hairy dog called Lucky. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling!

Calie Ociesa, APRN
Born and raised in South Florida, Calie Ociesa is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and their families. She believes that SuperKids Pediatrics truly reflects a commitment to compassionate pediatric care—an environment where young patients feel supported, understood, and valued.
Calie completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Palm Beach State College, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Her doctoral project focused on improving pediatric asthma outcomes, highlighting her passion for enhancing the quality of care for pediatric populations.
Throughout her education and clinical experience, Calie has centered her work on pediatrics, developing expertise in managing both acute and chronic conditions in children. Prior to joining the SuperKids Pediatrics team, she worked in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as a pediatric chronic-care facility, gaining valuable experience in caring for medically complex patients. She also serves as an adjunct professor in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she enjoys mentoring and educating future nurses.
Calie resides in Palm Beach County with her husband, their son, and two dogs. She is honored to care for the families in her community and is committed to helping every child thrive.

Mckenna Brown, APRN
Originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, McKenna Brown is a board-certified, Family Nurse Practitioner who loves caring for kids and their families. Inspired by her mother, a kindergarten teacher who sparked her love of children and learning, McKenna chose pediatric primary care to combine her passion for kids with her love of science and medicine. She works to make every visit comfortable, engaging, and sometimes even a little fun—because a smile can go a long way.
McKenna earned her BSN magna cum laude from Palm Beach Atlantic University, followed by an MSN in Health Systems Leadership and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She served as Head Chair of the Graduate Nursing Student Council, and her DNP project focused on mindful eating and promoting healthy lifestyle habits in primary care.
Her clinical experience spans multiple units at Good Samaritan Medical Center and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, where she served as charge nurse and preceptor. She later worked as shift supervisor at After Hours Pediatric Urgent Care and as an adjunct nursing professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University. McKenna lives in Palm Beach County with her fiancé and their Chihuahua, Max. Outside of work, she loves the beach, long walks, attending mass, and having family time. She’s honored to care for the children in her community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with the families she serves.

We incorporate a fun and exciting experience that promotes healthy lifestyle choices. SuperKids is a term of empowerment for our patients. All kids are “Super” in their own way and, with the right tools, they can overcome any obstacle.
We believe in embracing “old-fashioned” warm customer care in hand with the latest technology and comprehensive individual medical support. We use advanced Electronic Medical Records to better collect and analyze data along with supporting testing equipment. We will incorporate the the latest clinical pathways with easy to follow care plans and access to up to date care information through a Patient Portal. We also incorporate the latest communication digital channels to provide education news on healthy lifestyle choices as well as a safe mean for you to communicate with us. The team is committed and strive everyday to make your family’s experience at SuperKids Pediatrics enjoyable and educational.
